People who get tagged must write
in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts
as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people
to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks!

1. I need to hug it before I can sleep.

3. I really hate mornings to be honest. It's just that school and work dictates that I wake up early.

4.
Doing research is always fun until you have to do something to recruit people to join your thing. Well, Jan has always dreaded the part where he has to find strangers to go for his experiment when he has drained his resources of friends (or the lazy friends that refuses to come to his experiment even though they are free).

Sigh.

So, asking people is all right. However, getting rejections even though you pay them $5 dollars for doing a 15-20 minute experiment in an air-con room so many fricking times is just so draining. Add to the fact that Jan has been working for 14-16 hours consecutively for the past three days means that it gets harder to smile in order to get people to do my research.

It's the worst thing ever to recruit anyone. The next time, if you have any students who is asking you for help, try to render as much help as possible. Even if you cannot go for it, do not waste their pamphlet and still thank them for their efforts. Do not be a heartless punk and leave them hapless as they look for more people to recruit. It's a sad job, seriously.

After that though, earthing up the results is the best part of the job. Reaching the end makes me realize how much I love doing research!

So ya, it's just a normal rant of sorts :P

Today, I was conducting an experiment with my groupmate, Clarice on some work. At first, I went over to the canteen, only to realize that it's pretty hard to get engineering students due to the fact that they had classes that clashed. So, I thought that using Clarice, a rather pretty girl, will help charm the guys when the crowd had left.

This is a hilarious conversation that carried out after Clarice came back with 0 male engineering students. I then got around 20 over guys when I went again. The conversation is of course paraphrased by me due to the fact that I had an extremely long day and cannot remember most of it.

Clarice: Strange lei, I cannot even get one person.

Me: That's strange. I will think that girls talking to engineering guys will charm them.

Clarice: That is when you expect right? However, the engineering guys seem to have problems talking to gals. When I talk to them, they give me that suspicious face as though I am tricking them or something.

Me: HAHAHAHAHA!

Clarice: Then you come in, like long lost buddies with them, you are really...

Me: Or else how to trick them to come for our research?

hohohohoh, be careful of jan next time ^+^

Hah, today is a very eventful day even though with me starting this post with a generic sentence is hardly an eventful situation. Still, very importantly, I have earned myself a 20 dollar kino voucher which the two kino specialists will love to have. Wahahaha, it is definitely an irony that the two people who are more Border-inclined has the vouchers. Nor did not earn her value though, since she is always sleepy.

Important incident 1

Nor promised to organize two outings for us for the next two months in exchange of jan doing 2 blog entries per week. She PROMISED, so hold her to it. Yes, you hear it right. She cannot get any help and has to push us for at least 2 outings for the next 2 months in order for the four of us to meet. If she doesn't say so, her promise and my faith in her will be completely gone.

Important incident 2

This happened after I finished my hot plate western food (which is pretty good actually).

Me: "Nor, you want to get a drink? I treat you lor."

Nor: "You know what I really want, right?"

Me: "....Nor, you want dessert to perk yourself up?"

Nor: "You know what I really want, right?"

Me: "Don't tell me, I don't want to know, even though I know the answer."

Important incident 3

This happened when Norrie went to buy dinner at Jurong Point. We were sharing seats with some other strangers and Nor went to buy chicken rice while I was shifting the bags to a seat.

Stranger: "You can put your girlfriend's bag here. No one is sitting here."

Me: "Huh?"

Stranger: "I mean your partner's bag."

Me: "Oh, ok...." (what in the)

Important incident 4

Nor was so sleepy (as usual) and tired (as usual) when we are on the MRT. She gave me a big shock when she suddenly lie on my shoulders as she rested her head there. She is really a lazy bum. I wonder what Joanna and Jingwen will say if they see the scene.

Joanna reaction 1: CAMWHORE AND TAKE PIC!

Joanna reaction 2: Wah, you two so lovey dovey

Jingwen reaction 1: Woah lan!

Jingwen reaction 2: Nor, stop being so lazy?

Hohoho, she even left a smell on my shirt.
Okkkk, just 10 minutes ago, I had someone calling me from Starhub. I guess she wanted to promote Starhub cable vision to me and I am definitely interested to subscribe to Starhub when I start to work. What is seemingly amusing is when she addressed me as a gal.

She was like "ok, Miss...". At first, I thought it was a generic slip of the tongue, so I happily let it go while letting her explain the nity-gritty stuff about their plans. However, the first one was not the end. After the third time she called me a "miss", I corrected her and said that I am actually a male.

Her answer is the best.

"Oh, Sorry. I am so sorry. You just sound sweet and young."

....

*cough* I am bloody 24 and a guy for that matter. Should I be amused, happy or sad?

Do I need such a friend?

A little story thought out by me.

"There was once a boy that I am very close to. He was three years older than me, and he was going to high school now. We always seem to talk, enjoy ourselves and having fun at the amusement park which we both hanged out. Then, he drifted apart. He became busy and unable to talk, citing that his schoolwork is too much for him to handle.

I initially accepted it. I tried to message him to remind him of my presence. Everything I got was that he was busy. I cannot understand why he is so busy. It is not that I am not busy. In fact, I have been busy working on the community project that I was asked to do, which takes up a lot of my time. However, I wish I can see an email or something to know that he is doing all right.

After one year of not talking, he messaged, saying to meet him for a gathering. He is almost a stranger now.

Do i meet him?

Do I need such a friend that I will not see for another year?

Do I need a friend that does not make the effort?

I don't know. Do you?"

A simple story.....yet full of contradictions ^+^

This is a story of a million conclusions, without any of them being possibly close to the truth. It is simply how you want too much.

That said, Joanna, you do not owe me any tiong bahru baos anymore since u bought us the donuts!

I also wondered some things. To some people, even though you do not talk to them a long time, you can still pick up the conversation after a few minutes. However, for some, they turn to total strangers, people that you do not recognise anymore.

Perhaps, it is the fact that some of them make an effort consistently, and some don't. That is the difference perhaps. I never sweeten my words for anything because I believe that there is always time. There is perhaps the logic of being busy but there is no one in the world who is too busy to interact with a person. It is only whether the person makes the effort or not. I guess I am not an open-minded person but I differentiate between people who simply say and people who act upon what they say.

These two groups of people get very different treatment from me, because they let you know that they are around. You probably might not forget either of the two, but that is a keen difference. Hence, I guess to me, if I am going to lose a friend that "simply say he/she misses you", i do not feel pain because i am losing a friend that is a stranger.

Some people are different though.

Krizia comes to mind as a person that I do not talk for a long time, yet I still do not feel this stranger feeling in her. That, to me, is the big difference compared to other people that i do not talk to often. I know that she tries, and that's why I also try. I do not like to make fruitless efforts to try when I know the other person doesn't bother. It is just that quirk of me. I even admit that I am busy and sometimes I annoy Joanna and some of the others in my inability to comply. However, I always try to make up for it by meeting up somehow. That is why I care for the group a lot. They are a special bunch.

There are times in this week that I work 14 hours straight. Still, after a long day, I will sms them once in a while if I do not come online to see how they are doing. At least, to me, it is my way to make sure they do not forget. Saying that you did not forget and that someone is a friend is not enough. Actions have to fit what you say.

And i do not make any effort unless someone else seems to be doing it.

So ya, just some cryptic Jan words for this entry.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~

For fun, of course.

Let's see, because I feel like writing something really random, can I first add that the anime blog (http://that.animeblogger.net) is becoming a big success of sorts! I still remember the very humble start that we have, with only a pathetic 200-300 visitors. Now, we are hitting 800-1000 visitors in average per day, which is excellent in any case. I am so glad ^^

Also, exams are over so it's always good. Until i have to deal with FYP >_______>. Who cares.

Let's see, joanna's birthday is coming soon, so I can't wait to meet her as well as the rest of the gang. She seems to be tired and stressed, so I hope she's doing fine ba. Aja aja fighting, as she always say, so I hope to throw the advice back at her. She also has her best friend, Marian, coming back to Singapore so that will mean that she has more support. That said, Jingwen's exams are coming soon, so hopefully, he does well. Heard from him about his project doing well, so having a good CA is always a good thing. The J-people, work hard, k. Nor also has her crunching of the PR campaign coming soon too, so cheers, dont take my suaning too hard, k. Just cut down on your yaoi jokes. that applies to Joanna too, it's getting annoying nanodesuyo~

Oh well, not that it will help, so I will just go one ear in, one ear out.

I also read and talked to Krizia and it seems that she is doing well in her work. School is starting really soon for her and I am so glad that she is finally embarking on her journey once again. Remember, anything that is done for the past year is done for a reason. It builds your character, your life as well as your experiences. Do not worry so much, because once you go into school, I can imagine you working hard. Do not forget to rest too and rejuvenate yourself ok?

Let's see, what else random should I say....

Nothing else left....So yea. That's it for a random post.

Jolly jolly from Red Garden OP....A very nice jazzy song that is pretty interesting.

2. Sweet home song from Asatte no Houkou....It makes you feel like going home right now, with that warmth in your heart. A very soothing and calming song that might not work for everyone.

3. 温柔(还你自由版) from mayday....I am a great fan of them and this is one of the my favorite songs for sure!

4. Saikyou OX Keikaku from Sumomomomo momomo OP....Just the first line can make me laugh all the time. It simply rocks

5. Koi Suru Kokoro from Kasimasi ~Girl meets girl~....Just saw the ova ep 13 and decided to get it....It's really good stuff. Very sweet, teeny music.
